Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. She was the home of her mother as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. From a young age, McCormick was a singer and dance, and she would frequently present puppet shows to the neighborhood children. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she took home her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 which led to an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to work in show business. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in a commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show the play Wind It Up And It is Broken in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with an unmarried family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick's memoir Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. She revealed in it the fact that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on stage of the show during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. In the moment, she was 16, and he was 19. We would've had a relationship, said she. The timing, however, wasn't right.
