Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox had studied for three years at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s was accepted. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students working part-time in order to help supplement her income. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied about her performances compared to that of her classmates. She started to think about alternatives. Lennox played the flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. However she left when the band was featured to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. The album was released in 1992. It was a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. This E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you go... Annie Lennox (born December 25 in 1954) is an artist from Scotland. Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some success in the late 1970s. In the following years, Lennox was joined by the band with fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox started her own solo music career in 1992, through the album Diva. It featured many well-known songs, including Walking on Broken Glass and What's the Matter with You. Medusa a studio album which was released in 1995, features songs that are re-imagined from her best-loved songs, including No MoreI Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her six studio solo albums and the compilation album have a lot of songs. |
